We at Hutchison Ports Stockholm care deeply about the environment and from day one it has always a vital part of how we approach our business.
Most of our smaller vehicles, cars, vans, and small trucks used on the terminal are fully electric.
Our ZPMC straddle carriers are all electric-hybrid machines with the most modern technology available and we use Diesel B7 a low-sulfur motor fuel for heavier vehicles and work machines, which meets the requirements according to Environmental Class 1, and Swedish Standard SS-155435.
We are also very focused on environmentally friendly inland services such as, our rail shuttles and we hope to offer a barge service into Lake Malaren in the future and are seeking approval to truck 2 40ft containers per truck into Stockholm which will save CO2 and cost.
Norvik has the largest Solar panel of any other Swedish port.
